Post-card IV

From Shanghai
No, I'm just kidding. This one is from Monte-Carlo but who wouldn't confuse it with a crowded city in Asia? I really don't seem to grasp its charm, to me is just a lot of awful concrete buildings towering upon a very small rock.

Post-card III

Cannes again
This one is from the small, green island of St.Marguerite near Cannes. You can take a daily trip with a boat, swim in its rocky beaches and come back in the evening. Unfortunately, I spotted a few jelly-fish in the water...

Post-card II

From Cannes
The famous Carlton hotel, which serves as meeting-point for the rich (well, the nouveau riche) and the famous, the kitsch and the extravagant...

Post-card I

From Greece
The city of Nafplion, also known as Nauplie, in the Peloponnese, has a well-preserved historical center and attracts many tourists. Its imposing fortress Palamidi, the small island of Bourtzi as well as its main square of Syntagma are worth visiting. Not to mention the innumerable cafes and hotels on the sea-front.

Happy holidays

Summertime, time for holidays...
Hope you enjoy yourselves wherever you go, whatever you do!

Every moment

Every moment in our life is a new departure, an end and a beginning,
a joining of the threads and a parting.
Yehudi Menuhin (1916-1999)

The photo was taken at Gstaad in Switzerland where Menuhin spent part of his life and where a festival with his name takes place.

Animals VII

An elephant in Barcelona...

Animals VI

The Roman she-wolf in France. The city of Narbonne claims to have been the first Roman city outside Italy.

Animals V

A wild boar like the ones Obelix likes to catch and eat. In France of course...
